URBAN PLANNER

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Urban Planner to join our team. In this role, you will oversee regional business development strategies, managing junior engineers & planners, and driving business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow a comprehensive urban planning and design practice with a focus on transportation, environmental, housing, and placemaking planning.
• Manage a diverse team of urban planners, designers, and subject matter experts.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables, exceeding client expectations.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic direction and business development.
• Pursue new business opportunities, grants, and awards.
• Represent the firm in industry events, fostering professional growth and networking.
• Oversee the financial performance of urban planning projects and ensure bottom-line success.
• Hire, mentor, and develop staff, promoting diversity and inclusion.
• Lead business development efforts through cross-sector collaborations.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in consulting, including project management and business development.
• Proven experience managing interdisciplinary teams and delivering quality planning and design solutions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Cloud, and SketchUp (other tools are a plus).
