Job Title: Sr. Data Analyst
Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension)
Location: New York, NY 10019

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support both short-term and long-term data management and strategic business initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, experience working with large datasets, and proficiency in SQL and data governance best practices. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, conducting in-depth data analysis, and developing data-driven solutions to enhance business processes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth data analysis to support projects and ongoing data quality initiatives.
Create datasets from multiple sources to enhance data management efforts.
Perform data mining on large datasets to drive data quality improvements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to document business requirements and provide analytical insights.
Present reports with data analysis and interpretation for business review and decision-making.
Work with relational databases and demonstrate proficiency in SQL .
Develop and recommend business solutions through data research and analysis.
Utilize process improvement skills to optimize existing processes and create new ones following data governance best practices.
Implement Data Management lifecycle tools and support master/reference data programs.
Work with multiple project management methodologies , such as Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or SAFe .
Utilize project management tools like Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, SmartSheet, Wrike, or Rally.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or a related field .
4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst on data management or data governance initiatives.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and proficiency in statistical software like SAS, SPSS, or R (preferred).
