HOW A TEST ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT - Design, develop, and implement test plans, manual test scripts, and automated testing processes
- Create tests in the context of a collaborative, team-based environment
- Implement and identify innovative tools, frameworks, automation, and utilities to increase velocity while maintaining and improving quality standards
- Apply technical, business, and quality skills to assess product and code health, implement modern testing approaches, and prevent production defects
- Help establish a highly collaborative environment that values speed and quality
- Perform API level testing
- Actively participate in agile meetings with product and program management
- Have a proactive attitude and a willingness to "go the extra mile" to get the job done
- Create end-to-end System Integration test cases to use as a design for developing regression automated tests
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor of Science (or equivalent experience)
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Required Skills: - Familiarity of various SDLC methodologies
- Strong experience with automated testing tools/frameworks/languages such as Selenium, UFT, TestNG, Cucumber, NUnit, JUnit, JMeter, etc.
- Experience working as part of an a gile team utilizing Scrum, XP, Kanban, or SAFe agile
- Experience with generation and maintenance of controlled test datasets and scenarios
- Experience working with DevSecOps pipelines
- Experience writing automated tests for web-based applications, web services, APIs, and databases
- Experience testing commercial-off-the-shelf application s
- Experience conducting functional, regression, integration and performance testin g across various platforms
- Experience with identifying, documenting and tracking defect using tools like Azure DevOps, working with developers to ensure fixes are tested and verified
Security Clearance Level: Must possess
active Top Secret clearance/
Department of Energy Q Location: On-Site in Germantown, MD, Gaithersburg, MD, Washington, DC, or Las Vegas, NV
US Citizenship Required Preferred Skills/Certifications: - ISTQB or similar software tester certification

The likely salary range for this position is $91,811 - $105,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Travel Required: Less than 10%
