The candidate will serve as a Tableau SME/Architect responsible for delivering end-to-end BI solutions, defining technical and data requirements, and supporting a major insurance client. Key responsibilities include:
Designing and implementing dashboards, reports, and enterprise visualization strategies.
Collaborating with stakeholders for data sourcing, quality checks, and insight generation.
Leading Tableau architecture design, including performance tuning, version upgrades, and high availability setups.
Developing reusable dashboards, metadata layers, and secure access models.
Migrating legacy BI systems to Tableau and driving user adoption.
Mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews.
The role demands 8 10 years of BI experience, a strong ownership mindset, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Insurance domain experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Skillsets 8-10 years of experience in BI/Analytics with at least 7 Years in Tableau (Desktop, Server, Prep) and SQL.
Excellent communication & presentation skills and should be able to communicate with client effectively
Experience in managing SQL codes and collaborating with customer on visualization needs
Experience in Tableau server administration, clustering, user management, and backup/recovery planning
Deep knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (SAML, OAuth, LDAP/Active Directory integration)
Good knowledge of Relational Data Base Management and SQL/Teradata
Proven expertise in Tableau architecture, performance optimization and governance
Strong understanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), SQL, and ETL processes
Experience with cloud platforms, REST APIs, and Tableau Extensions/JavaScript API (would be a plus)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and tools like JIRA, Git
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in independent insight generation is preferred
o Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverables with minimal or no supervision
o Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
