What will you be doing in this role?

The Project Manager in HR Operational Excellence, you will be leading projects that improve the interactions and processes HR uses to support all employees at Cedars-Sinai. Cedars-Sinai is the 6th largest employer in Los Angeles and your work will make every single day a little bit better for our clinical, research, and administrative staff. The Project Manager leads important projects from concept through completion.

** This is a full-time, hybrid position with benefits, expected to last for 3-years from the hire date, with potential for extension based on operational needs. **

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proposes, develops, coordinates, and organizes project timelines and resources to meet objectives of assigned projects.
  • Partners and collaborates with leadership and key stakeholders on the proposed scope of projects.
  • Evaluates and identifies project impacts and ensures management approval of operational process changes triggered by the project.
  • Responsible for developing or recommending process improvement measures, coordinating activities and timelines, and figuring out if resources meet the objectives and needs of the project.
  • Identifies resources, participants, and collaborators to lead a cross-functional project team for the administration, maintenance and/or delivery of the project(s).
  • Works with internal/external partners to develop, coordinate and organize project change management activities.
  • Supports project training needs and implements applicable education, training, on-boarding and/or mentorship.
  • Researches, gathers, and summarizes data from various sources to evaluate assigned project performance and/or operations.
  • Finds opportunities, risks and inefficiencies impacting project timelines and/or participating department's success. Proposes and/or creates plans to achieve assigned project objectives.
  • Maintains data system integrity and ensures quality assurance measures are followed based on departmental and/or standard operating procedures throughout the duration of the project.
  • May provide ad hoc reporting to support recommendations observed through trend analysis for future planning and enhancements.
  • Assess assigned projects to ensure appropriate governance and compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as with local, state, and federal laws, accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standards, and licensure requirements as appropriate.
  • Assists and coordinates with monitoring, communicating process or compliance changes, and implementing plans to update processes for the duration of the project.
  • Supports management with planning, monitoring, and managing project budgets and financials.
  • Contributes to project related communication documents including reports, policies and procedures, and other materials.
  • May plan, lead, and/or assign project-related work to others.


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field preferred.
  • Five (5) years Program or Project Management, Project support and/or leadership experience.
  • Project Management Institute certification, Lean Six Sigma, or other project management certification program preferred.
