Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients with complex wound management needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. • Join our team as a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner where you will make a significant impact on patient recovery through expert wound management and compassionate care. This position will start part-time and grow into full-time.
  

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with wounds, including history taking and physical examinations.
  
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and best practice guidelines.
  
• Perform wound care procedures, including dressing changes, debridement, and management of various types of wounds.
  
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for therapeutic effects and side effects.
  
• Stay current with advancements in wound care practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to wound care.
  
• Experience or knowledge in infection control practices is essential.
  
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a specialization in wound care.
  
• Experience in wound care management.
  
• Strong understanding of wound healing processes and latest treatment modalities.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
