We are now accepting applications for FULL TIME AND PART TIME Landscape Crew Leaders & Members in Galena, OH for the 2025 season!

Summary:

• Responsible for performing quality landscape services for our customers in a safe and efficient manner. Position reports directly to crew leader.

Essential Job Functions:

• Report at designated start time to review schedule/route.
• Mow grass using commercial mowing equipment.
• Edge curbs and walks using a weedeater.
• Cleanup of property using a backpack blower.
• Bed and pavement weed control.
• Pruning of shrubs and trees.
• Soil preparation for flower and plant installation.
• Installation of flowers, trees and shrubs.
• Cleanup of beds during spring operations.
• Edge beds using a Little Wonder Bed Shaper.
• Apply mulch to landscape beds.
• Fall cleanup of leaves, perennials and debris.
• Load/Unload equipment onto trucks and trailers.
• Secure equipment for transport to properties.
• Clean trucks & equipment.
• General equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Walk for long periods of time.
• Stand, bend & squat for up to 10 or more hours per day.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Carry a 20-lb. backpack blower on your back.
• Use companies mobile time entry software.


Technical Skills:

• Use various tools and equipment such as lawn mowers, backpack blowers, string trimmers, pruners, handsaws, rakes, pitch forks, shovels, etc.
