Our expertise includes consulting and analytics, digital workplace solutions, and cyber compliance. We are seeking a highly skilled Immigration Statistician (Journeyman) with 5+ years of experience in data management, statistical analysis, and policy implementation.
This role will oversee processes, policies, and standards for managing immigration data, ensuring integrity, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The candidate will be integral to developing strategies, analyzing data, supporting policy development, and working closely with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Hybrid work schedule: 80% Remote, 20% In Office.
Requirements: Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement data governance frameworks and strategies to ensure compliance with DHS policies and federal regulations.
- Oversee management of immigration data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and security.
- Analyze immigration data to identify trends, inform policy decisions, and support operations.
- Implement data validation, error-checking, and standardization processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align data efforts with DHS goals.
- Develop and implement data privacy policies and safeguards.
- Monitor and enforce data compliance with laws, including the Privacy Act and federal security guidelines.
- Coordinate with IT and analysts to optimize data systems and reporting.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations for decision support.
- Advise on data collection methodologies and analytical techniques.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years in data management or statistical analysis.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy, and quality assurance.
- Experience implementing data management policies and best practices.
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiar with relational databases, SQL, and query tools.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data.
- Experience with large datasets, data cleaning, and validation.
- Collaborative and cross-functional team skills.
- Excellent communication for reports and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with immigration policy, homeland security, or government agencies.
- Knowledge of federal data security (FISMA, Privacy Act, DHS).
- Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics for immigration data.
