Genetic Counselor to join a leading healthcare team in Philadelphia. In this role, you will provide genetic risk assessments, offer counseling to individuals and families, and support research initiatives focused on genetic disorders and risk management. This position also involves community outreach and program development. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct genetic risk assessments for patients and families.
- Provide genetic counseling related to inherited disorders.
- Collaborate on high-risk patient programs and facilitate research enrollment.
- Participate in community outreach, research projects, and program meetings.
Requirements: - Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling or a related field.
- 2+ years of diabetes educator experience in genetic counseling or a similar role.
- ABGC Certification : Must be certified by the American Board of Genetics Counseling or eligible for certification.
- Pennsylvania Licensure : Licensed to practice as a Genetic Counselor in Pennsylvania or temporary Provisional License with intent to sit for the ABGC exam within 90 days of hire.
- PA RN License : Required for candidates with a BSN or non-nursing bachelor's degree with an MSN.
- BLS Certification is required.
- CDE/CDCES Certification : Certified Diabetes Educator or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification required within 12 months of hire.
