Our clients experience the convenience of our advanced services, featuring GPS verification for added reassurance and seamless online scheduling for effortless coordination. A cancellation can cause extreme stress for clients and pets, which is why Windy City Paws never cancels appointments. There is always someone on staff ready to step in. At Windy City Paws, we love what we do and we want to grow our team with like-minded pet lovers! Windy City Paws is looking for a dependable person to join our professional team as a Dog Walker! This is a part-time, W-2 employed position that receives benefits like paid time off (PTO)and 401(k) payroll contributions. Walkers on dedicated weekday routes will also be eligible for a $300 bonus after a successful 90-day performance review. Additionally, you will be provided with paid training and education on dog and cat behavior throughout your tenure with us! As a Windy City Paws Dog Walker, you’ll be committed to providing our clients with the highest level of care and attention:

  • Prepare the dog or dogs in each household to go outside with the appropriate gear (leash, harness, etc.).
  • Provide fun and enriching playtime for the full duration of the service (typically 30 or 60 minutes for dog walks or 2 hours for a pet sit).
  • Provide food, water, and/or medication per client instructions and Windy City Paws provided training.
  • Clean up after dogs outside on walks and inside the homes if there are accidents and clean up litter boxes for cats.
Chicago Service Areas: Andersonville, Bucktown, Gold Coast, Irving Park, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Logan Square, Loop, North Center, Old Town, Ravenswood, River North, Roscoe Village, South Loop, Streeterville, West Loop, Wicker Park Qualifications:
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a minimum age of 18.
  • Available from 10am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to commute to and around select Chicago Service Areas (listed above).
  • Capable of withstanding all weather conditions outside and several hours of walking each day.
  • A smartphone with a data plan for communication and tracking walks.
  • Prior experience with dogs and cats is a plus, but not required.
Compensation:
  • Pay is structured on a per-walk basis.
  • The majority of our part-time Dog Walkers work between 15 to 20 hours per week and earn $250.00 to $350.00 per week.
