Overview

The Informatics Nurse Applications Analyst, Inpatient Clinical Documentation , serves as the technical and clinical Health Informatics subject matter expert for the clinical applications. The Nurse Applications Analyst supports the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Children's Mercy and Information Technology. The Nurse Applications Analyst manages projects and programs in the nursing area they are assigned and assists with more complex projects. They maintain and provide technical support for assigned clinical applications. The analyst is a liaison to the nursing care delivery teams and develops, implements, and effectively uses clinical technologies to enhance patient care. They collaborate to positively impact patient safety and care quality.

This role will work with the Inpatient Team, Clinical Documentation, at Children's Mercy in KCMO. Incumbent must live within driving distance of the hospital.

Will need prior clinical experience within Cerner, Epic, or both. The incumbent must be certified in Epic ClinDoc within 120 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred and 3-5 years' experience. Clinical experience, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience OR

  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience. Clinical experience, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience

  • High School diploma, or equivalent, and 7 or more years experience Clinical experience, health informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience

  • At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (determined by role leadership) Required within 120 days of hire. Must complete Epic certification training if not already Epic certified in the most recent version of the Epic

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $32.57/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
