Our client, a well known company in the construction and manufacturing industry, committed to delivering high-quality solutions to our clients through innovation, precision, and collaboration. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team.

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing and payroll support. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment—preferably within the construction or manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely payment
• Manage vendor setup, inquiries, and reconciliations
• Support payroll processing using ADP and Paychex for both hourly and salaried employees
• Ensure compliance with company policies and job costing procedures using StarBuilder software
• Reconcile AP sub-ledger to the general ledger monthly
• Assist with month-end closing tasks and financial reporting related to AP and payroll
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized records and assist with audits as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in full-cycle AP processing and payroll support
• Experience with ADP, Paychex, and StarBuilder (or similar ERP systems)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and job costing
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Construction or manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
